The 2024-25 Panini Obsidian Soccer continues as Panini's ultra-premium, design-focused product — the most expensive per-card offering in their soccer lineup at .95 for just 7 cards. Released earlier in the cycle than previous years, this edition features a print run roughly one-third smaller than 2023-24, making all content scarcer. The base set features the distinctive dark Obsidian aesthetic with Electric Etch patterns. The parallel rainbow runs through exceptionally low numbers: Electric Etch Red Flood /49, Orange Flood /40, Red Crystals /30, Purple Flood /25, Blue Flood /20, Neon Blue Flood /15, White Pulsar /11, Gold Flood /10, Red Flood /10, White Contra /9 (1 per case), Green /5, Neon Green Flood /3, and Blue Finite 1/1. All 4 hits per box are auto or relic combinations. Lightning Strike Signatures returns alongside the new Volcanic Material Signatures (auto + memorabilia swatch combo). New to 2024-25 is Class of '99 — an insert celebrating the 25th anniversary of the 1999 USWNT World Cup-winning team.
